A website is no longer a ticket to the party. A website is now the key to the car that takes you to the party where they may or may not let you in.

To Be Honest...

Too many businesses are suffering, or even worse, barely not succeeding because they haven't taken their digital marketing seriously.

A website is a foundational pillar in the digital marketing blueprint.

But it's no longer enough to simply have a domain with some html, styling, and a few pages that are copies from last year's trifold brochure design.

People are expecting more of businesses in the digital space. Tech giants like Amazon have radically transformed expectations and the businesses that recognize this and take action will be the ones still standing 5 years from now.

Your Lost Client's Journey to Your Competitor

Did you hear that? That was the sound of your competitor cashing a check from your lost client. What a terrible sound.

Here's the facts. 95% of people are going to hop on Google and run a search regarding the product/service they need before landing on a company that seems to fit their needs.

These decisions made by your lost client are happening within seconds. If you don't get their attention, if you don't communicate your value, they will move on to your competitor without question.

It's not only a factor of getting their attention, but also a point of even showing up in the search results, having a website that loads fast, that shows up well on a mobile display, and so much more.

I'm getting overwhelmed just typing this out.

It's Not All Doom & Gloom

Let's face it. Your competitor is not that good. Sure they might have a better digital game as of right now, but if people knew the way you did business, those lost clients wouldn't be so lost anymore.

Here's the process. This is what you need to do.

That's it. There needs to be a fundamental shift in your approach to digital marketing. It must become a priority.

This post was a bit of a heavy-hitter. And quite honestly, I am not even writing this to drive a quick conversion. This is simply what I know about thousands of businesses, and if there isn't a course-correction, I fear what will be there legacy.

I am writing this at 2:45 am, so forgive me for my lack of eloquence. I hope this was helpful in someway. If you ever want to talk more about the topic of digital marketing, websites, SEO, or anything else, please schedule a free call with our team, we would love to give insight & advice with specifics for your business.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
